Middle School Professional Development - Feb 16 has ended
The secondary professional learning conference will be held on February 16, 2018 at Frederick County Middle School. In selecting sessions to attend, please note that sessions indicate whether the focus is on feedback, explicit instruction or engagement to align with your school’s area of instructional focus.

To access the registration site simply click the link above. To register for a session, click on the session and a check mark will appear next to the session.  Once the check mark appears, you have registered.  At the bottom of your screen will be a black box indicating the number of sessions you have registered.  If you click on that box, a confirmation email will be sent to you.

All first-year teachers will attend a professional development session related to explicit instruction (this is in lieu of attending the sessions after school as was the previous practice). If you are a new teacher, your schedule already reflects this session in your schedule.  All 2nd and 3rd year teachers will attend a professional development session related to their needs.  This session has been added to your schedule.
Work Sessions have been added to the schedule to give participants a time to apply what they have learned from the sessions they have attended.

Your final schedule will be emailed to you on the morning of February 16, 2018.  Registration will close on February 14, 2018.

We look forward to learning with you.

Sincerely,
Secondary Instructional Team

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Limited Capacity seats available

The objective of this session is to stress the importance of "behind the scenes" planning that helps to address the personalized needs of learners. Teachers will examine real examples of reflective journal entries and participate in a mock activity created to address areas of needed growth. If you have ever felt frustrated with a class that exhibits a dichotomy in literacy skills and executive functioning, this session is for you!
